Introduction
Enact Systems, a platform powering commercial solar project design and finance, aimed to introduce
advanced 3D capabilities to improve planning accuracy. Their vision: enable solar designers to
simulate sunlight, shadows, and panel placement on any rooftop—all within a browser.
Our Role
Optellix was entrusted with the entire 3D development pipeline, including 3D rendering, geometric
analysis, and sun simulation. We built custom algorithms from the ground up to handle messy input
data and bring real-time rooftop solar modeling to life.
